The Genius That Is Ron Bennington
Ron Bennington is a genius. For those not familair with him, Ron is co-host of the Ron & Fez Show, currently heard on XM Radio channel 202, and formerly heard on WNEW in New York, before Opie and Anthony blew up that station with the St. Pat's incident.
Ron has devised a simple plans for domestic peace. We simply divide our country into the red and blue states. It's so obvious, we are historically two countries erroniously joined by our common heritage as British colonies.
From the beginning, we were culturally differenrt. The South being an agriculture society, based largely on the feudalist model of old England. The North being a more cosmopolitan, urban-centric and more of a merchant-based economy.
In fact the two disparate factions would probably never have successfully reconciled there differences were it not for the 3/5ths compromise, whereby representation in congress, and perhaps more importantly the electoral college, would be based upon counting slaves as 3/5ths of a person. This important concession is reason why except for the two Adams and Van Buren, all of the first 12 presidents came from slave holding states, and why George Bush won the presidency in 2000. The Electoral College was invented to ensure that the Presidential Election reflected the congressional representation which reflected the slave population, and not the popular vote.
That nonsense aside, we are two different countries. We have two fundamentalluy different sets of values. Want a country where you can ban aabotion, instiute school prayer, and run ramshod with your militaary? Move to a Red state. Want a gun control, liberal, social welfare-minded , tax and spend country? Move to a Blue state.
It so simple. President of the Red States, Goerge Bush. President of the Blue states, John Kerry (or maybe a second term Al Gore).

St Pat's Incident? That was two idiots encouraging people to have sex inside and desacrating a church. One, which is a sacred landmark for Catholics, Irishmen and New Yorkers. That, my friend, is a bit more than an incident and I find it disgraceful. If that makes me a red stater than so be it and I am proud to be one.
If that is what a blue stater is than you can have your immoral, let the government pay for me, I am to lazy to fend for my family, leech of the state, blue staters. However, I think you will find that in these so called blue states that the people with the money funding the state programs, working, running and paying all the taxes for the states are red. If you take them away and put them in a red state what do you have? A blue state that can not pay for it's own services and will eventually collapse. Diversity is what makes this country and the states. We need a mix of both to survive. To paraphrase CJM, why does it matter? Democracy doesn't work. We are set to implode soon anyway.
