A pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow...
Received the following in one of those blast emails. I, of course, -- THIS TIME! -- knew exactly what to do: Post It on The Hubbub XXX.

You can't make up stuff better than this!
Ain't politics grand?
Jesse Jackson has added former Chicago Democrat Congressman Mel Reynolds to Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll. Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute forgiveness spree. Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud, and lies to the Federal Election Commission. He is more notorious, however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer.
This is a first in American politics: An ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate...won clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate...then was hired by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate!
His new job?
Ready for this??

IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT?

I got this email blast myself, but I couldn't decide whether to post the article you referenced, brutally skewering the hiring practices of The Rev. Jesse Jackson, or the article about Washington Post editor, and Pulitzer Prize winner, Bob Woodward's new book on President Bush's execution of the War in Iraq, which has cost over 3,000 American lives, scores of thousands of Iraqi lives, and, less importantly, over $330 Billion to date on a war with a country with no connection to 9/11, no WMD's, and which had been militarily de-balled since the first Gulf War.
Luckily, the same focus, and the same investment, has been made in finding Osama Bin Laden and in re-building New Orleans.
So Hoorah! And it let it be known that the Hubbub XXX stood up to Jesse Jackson and his shoddy hiring practices!
Pretty impressive work there: turning a stale article on a sleazy, corrupt Democrat Congressman and Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition into a fresh diatribe on W, Woodward, War and WMDs. It's unworthy of the dark bowels of the Comments section; it deserves to see the light of day with a legitimate post of it's own.
